Refund & Audit Policy

Last updated: 8/21/2026

1. Donation Refund Policy

As a registered non-profit organization in India, MFCT Community Foundation expects all donors to exercise due care and diligence while making donations. Generally, donations are non-refundable since they are immediately allocated to active campaigns or the community escrow.

However, we recognize that errors can happen. If an erroneous donation is made (e.g., duplicate processing or wrong amount), the donor may request a refund within 7 days of the transaction.

2. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please write to refunds@mfct.org with the following details:

  • Date of donation
  • Donation amount
  • Transaction ID / UTR number
  • Reason for refund request

If a Section 80G tax receipt has already been issued for the donation, the refund request may be declined or the receipt will be invalidated.

3. Audit & Transparency Policy

MFCT Community Foundation is committed to 100% transparency in the deployment of community funds. As part of our audit policy:

  • All accounts are audited annually by an independent Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Annual audit reports are published on our platform and accessible to all registered members.
  • All campaigns have transparent "Funds Raised vs. Target" metrics visible publicly.
  • Funds are disbursed directly to verified beneficiaries or vendors wherever possible.
